I arrived in Seoul and am staying at the kimchee guesthouse. I like the place here, the staff is really friendly and it was really easy to get to from the airport. I am staying here for a few days before I head out to my orientation site in Daejeon which is about an hour away. I wish I had come to Seoul a few days earlier so I could have more time to hang out with everyone here before starting my new job in Daejeon. Everyone I am working with has pretty much taken over this hostel, I think we are filling every room in the house. There are four floors, with numerous rooms on each floor. The bunk-beds are what you expect, and they have a nice cheap breakfast in the morning which is really tasty.
I would definitely stay here again if and when I come back to Seoul to stay fro a few days. Seoul is a pretty awesome place, I don’t think I have ever been in a city quite this big before.
I can’t wait to see what my own city of Daejeon will be like when I get there. I happen to be living in the same city as my orientation which is nice because it will give me a chance to explore the city with everyone and get to know my surroundings while I have a bunch of friends here. Everyone else will be in Daejeon for 10 days and then they will have to ship out to a strange city and re-get to know their surroundings.
